Use a photograph to inspire your writing. Bypass the foreground and look to the background. What do you notice? What didn’t you see before? What is unexpected? Allow the background to guide your writing.

*Remember, you don’t have to accept this invitation…but I do hope you will accept the invitation to write. Sharing our stories is magical.

    2. Ramona – I want to sit in a sun filled kitchen with a cup of steaming tea in my hands and listen to Estelle and Lillian. I have similar memories of my mother and her best friend – sister-in-law – Vivian and Josephine. And YES to aprons! Funny that I have none a home, but I have a collection at school that I wear when I cook with the kids. I’m going to have to go out a buy one just for HOME. Thank you!

    1. SO much here is lovely, honest, and you! YOU ARE HUMAN SUNSHINE! Loved the lines: This isn’t a little sprint. This isn’t an easy workout. This is an endurance event. And no matter how fantabulous I am, as with every endurance event there is preparation, execution, and recovery. – That’s how I need to remember what LIFE is.
