Grace comes in many ways. Offer it. Accept it.

My friend sent this to me. She included a note about how I’ve likely read it before, but it reminded her of me. This is one of my favorite gifts to receive! When someone reads something, sees something, experiences something, tastes something and they pass it along because they are reminded of me—I feel loved.
Surprisingly, I have not read this Mary Oliver poem. Not surprisingly, it resonated with me.
Today you can share your story of a time you passed something along or received something that was just the right thing at just the right time. Or you can respond to the poem, because I’m sure I’m not the only one whom it resonates with.
Of course, if there’s something else tugging at you—write that instead!
*Remember, you don’t have to accept this invitation…but I do hope you will accept the invitation to write. Sharing our stories is magical.

You MUST have grace in all things – especially when assessing young children. Be present. Be patient. Be filled with wonder!

Ruth – just wanted to say I get overjoyed when another SOS prompt comes to my inbox! I thought I had read ALL of Mary Oliver. Missed this one – and it is truly filled with light. Thank you!

I had never read this Mary Oliver poem either! It might be one of my favorites! I’ve renamed my blog and changed things up a bit. Coffee With Chloe is now Stories With Sophie and today’s post shares a bit how I’ve used Grace as my OLW this year. https://deb-day.blogspot.com/2021/10/choosing-grace.html

I’m with you, Ruth. That’s one of my favorite gifts to receive as well. To have someone let me know something reminded them of me.
