We talked about giving kids lots of low-stakes writing opportunities to become the kinds of people who can articulate an opinion. My friend on the podcast is the kind of writer who is exceptional at writing how-to articles. I want to be the kind of person who runs several miles every week.
It’s good to define the kind of people we want to be; the kind of writers we want to be. The invitation is to put in writing the kind of writer you want to be.

In January, I went with a repost theme month (reposted favorite posts from past years) and now in February, I am having a-sentence-a-day month (write at least one sentence a day) to help me keep me going. (They are themes I just made myself. Not connected anywhere. They have just helped motivate me.) I have been reading others’ SOS stories (love them), but I wasn’t sure if I should out a link here as I haven’t done an actual SOS lately…But I know you always say that there are no rules, just write! xo
