Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
Do this: Lie on the grass under the trees or listen to the murmur of the water or watch the clouds float across the sky.
Believe it is not a waste of time.
Write about it.

Reflecting on summer reading.
Lie on the grass or walk through a garden. Here’s one way I reflected and rested last week. https://wordancerblog.com/2022/07/11/garden-harbor/
There is beauty in well tended gardens. I like the wild nature in our summer house garden. https://justforamonth.blogspot.com/2022/07/let-wild-flowers-grow.html
Thanks for another inspiring quote – my reflection came out in a bit of story haiku about the dog days of summer: https://litbitsandpieces.com/2022/07/10/dog-day-rhythms/
