There are many writing communities already in existence, why create another one?

The short answer is: Magic.

I was talking to a friend on the other side of the globe and she said, “My father is a photographer and my sister is a photographer, and I decided there wasn’t room for another photographer.” Her photos tell a different story. Perhaps she is not a traditional photographer, but it seems the world still has room for one more photographer.

Have you ever seen the anti-coloring books? It’s not that they are against coloring, it’s just they offer a different approach; it’s not traditional, but the world still has room for more coloring books.

It’s good that there are lots of writing communities already in existence. Yet, there seems to be a lot of people who aren’t writing, many who used to write. Maybe there’s room for a writing community that is just here for the magic that might happen.
