open invitation no. 34: definition inspiration

Use a definition as inspiration for your writing.

A quick search on Merriam-Webster revealed this definition of thanksgiving

thanksgiving:: celebration of divine goodness

I like looking up definitions because they often reveal new truths and ideas to me. Try to use a definition as an inspiration for your writing. Use thanksgiving or select another word and then do a quick search on Merriam-Webster. (You can use any site, but I’m partial to Merriam-Webster because of their Word of the Day.)

  1. Happy Thanksgiving… it has been too long, my writing friends, 3 books, crushing rejections, infrequent blogging, but being led back to where I started with all of you. Thankful that you haven’t ever stopped, Ruth. Thank you to all my other blogging friends that haven’t ever stopped. Thankful that Rehab for my 95-year-old dad hopefully is in the rearview window this week. Thankful for God who sits beside me every day and puts his arms around me on days like this. XO
