open invitation no. 61: big

Write about a time something felt big.

Sometimes it is easy to forget that the world is big and I am small. Humans don’t like to be small, because it is easy to believe that small is insignificant.

It is not.

Rather than thinking about the small matters, the beautiful details of tiny experiences and objects, consider writing about a time something felt big. A big sky, a big moon, a big mountain.

It can be literal and inspired by nature, or it can be figurative. Of course, you can write about something else entirely. The point is to write and to share what you write.

*Remember, you don’t have to accept this invitation…but I do hope you will accept the invitation to write. Sharing our stories is magical.
